Lido Analytics: Dashboards Catalogue

Summary

This post will navigate you through the Lido Dashboard Catalogue, a comprehensive panel of Lido metrics. The Catalogue aims to make your discovery of Lido and its various integrations simple and straightforward.

The Catalogue currently consists of 17 dashboards, including 14 for Lido on Ethereum, one for Lido on Polygon and two for Lido on Solana and will continue to expand over time. Most of the Lido dashboards are open-source (on Dune and Deepnote) allowing you to check the data we present.

The best way to progress through the Lido dashboards is by starting with the main dashboards for Lido on Ethereum and base analytics for Polygon and Solana. From there you may proceed to the advanced analytics dashboards for more in-depth analysis.

In this post we provide you with a general description and the main metrics of the dashboards. To see more, just follow the link to a particular dashboard.

An online version of the Catalogue summarizes all Lido dashboards open to the public.

01 Introduction

Lido, being a multi-chain liquidity provider for Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Polkadot, and Kusama, aims to provide its users and partners with reliable and up-to-date information.

To do so we have created a number of dashboards with a wide range of information from general metrics to detailed analysis of Lido integrations.

Lido actively strives for transparency. For this reason we want our dashboards to be open-source and widely-known.

In this post we aim to inform Lido users, partners and the general public about Lido dashboards for stAssests (Lido staked assets).

You will find out:

  • what dashboards with public access we have;
  • what information can be found there.

Most of our dashboards are devoted to Lido on Ethereum, but we also present Lido on Polygon and Solana dashboards.

Dune Analytics is the main platform we use to create Lido dashboards. Our current and new dashboards on Dune Analytics may be easily found by searching for ‘#Lido’.

There are also some dashboards on Datastudio and Apache Superset (for Solana) and Deepnote (for collateral risk monitoring on Ethereum).

Limitations:

  • In this post we describe only the main metrics presented on the Lido dashboards, but you may see them all by following the links below.
  • Dashboards for Lido on Kusama and Polkadot are not open to the public yet, but we are working on it.
  • The Catalogue doesn’t include dashboards related to Lido Node Operators. More information on this topic may be found on the Lido Node Operator Portal

Among the other metrics there are:

  • Incentives spent on liquidity pools.
  • Daily trading volume per $1 million liquidity (native tokens in $) in a pool that shows the level of activity.
  • Efficiency of LDO incentives: pool liquidity per $1 LDO (daily dynamics). It shows how much liquidity (native tokens in $) the liquidity pool has got for every $1 LDO spent (the more is better).

Section 3 'Referral Program” presents the dynamics of ETH staked with the Lido Referral Program, non-incentivized and staked total with Lido during the Referral Program.

Here you will find the efficiency of Lido Referral Program: how much $LDO was spent for every $1,000 ETH staked with Referral Program for the last paid period (2 weeks).

Liquidity pools on Ethereum

Curve ETH/stETH LP

This presents a detailed description of the ETH/stETH liquidity pool on Curve.

Section 1 ‘General info’ allows you to assess the current state and development of the pool, including its TVL, ETH and stETH cumulative balance, stETH to ETH exchange rate, APR.

Section 2 ‘Liquidity pool dynamics’ aims to track the key pool metrics, such as ETH and stETH daily balance, and trading volumes.

Section 3 ‘Liquidity mining’ shows APR and efficiency of LDO incentives: pool liquidity ($ETH) per $1 LDO scaled monthly.

Lending pools on Ethereum

Integration Lido Aave V2

This presents a general overview of the Lido lending pool on Aave V2.

Section 1 ‘General info’ shows the pool performance in general, namely total collateral (total amount of stETH allocated in the pool), APR, a number of unique users and some protocol metrics (LTV, liquidation threshold and more).

Section 2 ‘Risk monitoring’ allows you to track stETH liquidations on Aave V2, debt covered by liquidations and perform the vault monitoring.

Integration Lido MakerDAO (wstETH-A)

Integration Lido MakerDAO (wstETH-B)

These two dashboards are for Lido integrations on MakerDAO.  They have a very similar structure, so we present them here together.

Section 1 ‘General info’ gives you the main characteristics of a pool from total collateral (amount of wstETH allocated in the pool) and TVL to some protocol metrics (liquidation ratio, debt ceiling, etc.).

Section 2 ‘Risk monitoring’ allows you to track liquidations on MakerDAO and perform the monitoring of MakerDAO vaults (addresses, collateral, debt, risk rating and more).

Section 3 ‘Liquidity sufficiency’ reveals the availability of liquidity (native tokens, such as $ETH or $WETH) in the Lido AMM pools (Curve and Balancer) in case of collateral liquidations on MakerDAO lending pools (wstETH collateral liquidations).

Collateral Risk Monitor

This dashboard, on Deepnote, brings together risk monitoring for Aave V2, MakerDAO wstETH-A, wstETH-B, and steCRV-A lending pools on Ethereum.

It provides information for

  • detailed risk analysis: collateral risk structure including collateral in danger of being liquidated
  • pools liquidity (aggregated liquidity in liquidity pools, or ‘pools depth’, that is liquidity available in case of liquidations)
  • aggregated liquidity sufficiency analysis (collateral to pool liquidity)

Aave V2 stETH Collateral Risk Monitor

This one is focused on collateral risk monitoring in the Aave V2 lending pool. It presents the same metrics as in the Collateral risk monitor dashboard, but only for Aave V2.

In order to monitor risks the Aave V2 lending pool is divided into three bins. Each bin has its own structure of collateral and debt:

  • Bin1 (leveraged staking bin: ≥80% collaterals in stETH & ≥80% debt in ETH)
  • Bin2 (collateral in stETH & ≥80% debt in non-ETH tokens)
  • Bin3 (all the other stETH collateral)

The dashboard allows you to monitor the risks for each bin.

MakerDAO stAssets Collateral Risk Simulation

This presents a simulation of risk distribution and liquidations in case of the collateral price drop for MakerDAO wstETH-A and wstETH-B lending pools. It shows different scenarios of risk distribution for different price drops.

Incentives on Ethereum

Lido Referral Program for Ethereum

The dashboard focuses on the Ethereum Referral Program, namely on referees and referrals, rewards and efficiency of the Program by each 2 week period.

You can find

  • ETH staked with Referral Program, non-incentivized and staked total with Lido during the Referral Program,
  • ETH staked with Lido Referral Program in comparison with regular staking
  • number of unique referees and referrals, paid rewards, and efficiency of the Lido Referral Program by periods (LDO per 1 ETH staked with Referral Program)

Others

ETH Deposits to Beacon Chain Stats

The dashboard presents statistics of ETH deposits to the Beacon Chain (BC). You will see the current numbers, cumulative total dynamics, and analysis of ETH deposits distribution for a chosen period. By default the last period for analysis is 7 days, but you may change it to 30 days for example.

Section 1 ‘General info” shows the distribution of ETH deposits to BC by address and by project (protocol) including decentralised, centralised, and others.

Section 2 ‘Decentralised staking pools’ presents statistics of ETH deposits for Lido and Rocketpool only. Detailed analysis of all decentralised pools you will find in the 1st section of Lido Finance Extended dashboard.

Section 3 ‘Centralised staking pools’ includes analysis of the following centralised protocols: Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, Bitcoin Suisse, OKEx.

Section 4 ‘Others” includes analysis of some other protocols that can’t be classified as centralised or decentralised for now, e.g. Abyss or some unknown whales that play a significant role in the ETH deposits.

Behavioural Patterns Analysis

This presents the analysis of all addresses that have ever received stETH, including a distribution of the wallets by size, analysis of Lido users’ behavioural patterns and retention analysis.

Here you can find out how stETH holders acquire stETH (direct staking, buying on DEX, etc.) and how they use it (liquidity mining, leverage staking, etc.).

06 Next steps

The Lido Catalogue will develop along with Lido.

Lido has new integrations and plans to expand its staking solutions to the other chains. It will create a demand for new analytics and new dashboards. However, at the same time, we want to avoid overloading the Catalogue, so will only list the major ones.

As soon as we have new dashboards, including those that we plan for Lido on Kusama and Lido on Polkadot, we will add them to the Catalogue.

Online version of the Catalogue will keep you up-to-date with the Lido dashboards.
